Dr Sam Burrows

Dr Samantha Burrows BSc MBBS BCh MSc (Sports and Exercise medicine) MRCGP graduated from Royal College of Surgeons Ireland, Dublin in 2007.  After qualification, she moved to Perth, Australia and worked for 1 year in a busy Accident and Emergency unit, before returning to Dublin and working in a range of hospital specialities.  Here, Samantha decided that General Practice was where her passion lay and she commenced her GP training in the NW London NHS scheme. At the same time, she studied for an MSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine in QMUL, London so that she could combine her career in General Practice with a special interest in Sports and Exercise Medicine.

Samantha has worked in busy NHS GP practices in Wembley, Kilburn and Hammersmith and loves the variety of her work. She has a very patient-centred approach and throughout the consultation, her focus is on listening and drawing out any concerns the patient may have and developing a shared management plan between the patient and her.

In her spare time, she is the team doctor for a London rugby team and sails competitively around the world.
