Private Dermatology | Online Dermatologist
If you’re concerned about a skin condition such as eczema, acne, moles or skin lesions, you should get it checked out by a medical expert as soon as possible. However, we’re aware of how difficult it can be to see an expert dermatologist at short notice. That’s why we are offering our online dermatologist service so you can get your skin condition investigated by private consultant dermatologists quickly. You simply upload a photo of the concerned area from your smartphone for a consultant dermatologist to review, it’s that easy! This service means you get the answers you need fast so you’re never left waiting or worrying.
A consultant dermatologist is a specialist doctor, who concentrates on diagnosing and treating skin conditions and diseases.
After you submit a photo of your skin concern from your smartphone, our consultant dermatologist will review your condition and provide you with a comprehensive report and answer any questions you have without ever having to see the dermatologist face-to-face. If you’re looking for a private dermatologist that offers a quick and convenient online dermatologist service, book an appointment using our self-referral process. What is Online Dermatology?
Our online dermatologist service allows you to get expert medical advice from a consultant dermatologist about any skin concern quickly without having to wait for an in-person dermatologist appointment. It means you can get advice from private dermatologists quickly, without the fuss of long waiting times. We use technology to connect you with a consultant dermatologist for feedback and a detailed report of your skin concern. Many skin conditions can be diagnosed virtually without ever having to see a dermatologist face-to-face which means you get expert advice quickly in a way that works for you. Simply take a picture of your skin concern using your smartphone and upload it easily for a dermatologist to review.
Once you receive your comprehensive report, if there are any concerns or further investigation needed, we can refer you to see a consultant dermatologist in-person.
How does our online dermatologist service work?
Our online dermatology is the quickest way to get expert medical advice on your skin concern, without the need to come into the clinic.
- Complete the self-referral process by clicking one of the buttons on this page.
- You will then receive a welcome email where you will be asked to set up an account, and submit some basic information about your skin concern including pictures of the area. You can simply take the picture using any smartphone camera or decent digital camera and then upload the images.
- Once you’ve submitted your images, you get a response within 72 hours. A consultant private dermatologist will take a look at the area you are worried about and complete a detailed report including analysis and recommendations. This report will be shared with you, your GP (if requested) and our specialist Dermatology Nurse. This will either reassure you that no further action is required or will recommend that you see a private Dermatologist face-to-face for further investigation and treatment.
- If you do require further investigation, our Dermatology Nurse will talk you through your options and will work with you to arrange the most appropriate follow-up care and answer any questions you have. Prescriptions can also be recommended which can be arranged easily by one of our GP’s.
Please note with our online dermatologist service, there is no additional cost and there is no need to come into the clinic unless further treatment is needed.
What happens if I need to get a skin lesion removed or mole removal?
