Maitland Medical was founded in 1998 to provide a full range of Occupational Health and wellbeing services to clients. Located in Chislehurst, Maitland’s diverse and long serving clients are based nationally and include charities, educational, manufacturing, retail, logistics, housing associations and many other companies.
In 2019, Maitland was acquired by The Doctors Clinic Group (DCG) who provide private primary and secondary healthcare services.
Soma Health was founded in 2004 by Caroline Gardiner to provide a full range of Occupational Health and wellbeing services to clients. Located in Worcester, Soma’s diverse and long serving clients are mainly based in the Midlands and include educational establishments and large manufacturing companies.
In March 2022, Soma was acquired by The Doctors Clinic Group (DCG) who provide private primary and secondary healthcare services. Within DCG, Soma sits alongside Maitland Medical, a sister Occupational Health company located in Kent.
In December 2022 Spire Healthcare (FTSE 250) acquired The Doctors Clinic Group including Soma Health and London Doctors Clinic.
The business will rebrand to Spire Healthcare by the end of 2023.
